When the former State Economic and Trade Commission issued the "Emergency Notice on immediately stopping the production of disposable foamed plastic tableware", it was pointed out that "disposable foamed plastic tableware has serious problems in the production, use, recycling and other links. Some of the blowing agents used in the production process will destroy the atmospheric ozone layer, and some have serious safety risks; Improper use at high temperatures, easy to produce substances harmful to human health; Discard at will after use, will cause serious environmental pollution; It is difficult to degrade in the ground, which will pollute the soil and groundwater, and it is very difficult to recover and dispose of." It is undeniable that today, more than 10 years later, China's corresponding recycling system and treatment technology have long been different from that time. However, can all the problems raised then be solved today? We must note the reality of extensive waste sorting, recycling and disposal in many places in China, as well as the low recycling price and high recycling cost of foaming tableware. Therefore, after the return of disposable foamed plastic tableware to the market, the relevant departments must further improve the construction of the foamed tableware recycling system, and establish the corresponding recycling incentive mechanism. So that "can be recycled after use" will not become an empty talk.

Finally, we must pay attention to the interaction with society and the public in the process of policy formulation and implementation, and pay attention to mass supervision.
