There was a problem with the syringe at a vaccination site in the United States
Overseas network March 4 Fox News 3 news, due to the syringe problem, about 4,300 people in California have been vaccinated with the new coronavirus vaccine smaller than the dose that should be vaccinated.
The Oakland Coliseum COVID-19 vaccination site used a syringe with an orange lid, and a third of the vaccine was stuck to the bottom of the plastic container. Before the problem was discovered on March 1, people had only been given 0.2 ml of the Pfizer vaccine instead of the optimal 0.3 ml.
The California Office of Emergency Services said it had held an emergency meeting on Tuesday afternoon after someone reported the problem. Brian Ferguson, a spokesman for the state of California, said the doses were in line with medical guidelines and protocols, and he did not believe anyone had received too little vaccine or that there was a need to contact people who had received low doses. PeterChin-Hong, an infectious disease specialist in the United States, said the patients were "probably protected" and could make up for the lost dose in a second round of shots.
