Titanium dioxide enterprises in Panzhihua area have resumed production
In July 2017, under the supervision and pressure of Panzhihua Environmental Protection Bureau, the slag field of Jinjiang Park of Vanadium and titanium Industrial Park in Panzhihua was required to stop operation, which means that the chemical enterprises in the whole park stopped production.
In the area of a number of titanium dioxide production enterprises: Panzhihua Haifeng Xin, Lizhuo Vanadium titanium, titanium sea technology, big exchange, titanium, Xingzhong, etc. are affected, the news is that it is expected to stop rectification 1-2 months (specific resumption of production time will be by the environmental Protection Bureau and other supervision departments according to the completion of the state of the rectification of the factories is determined).
The production capacity of some enterprises in the park is: Panzhihua Titanium City chemical production capacity of 24,000 tons of high titanium slag, 30,000 tons of sulfate anatase titanium white; Daxiang Group has a production capacity of 120,000 tons of titanium dioxide, supporting 300,000 tons of sulfuric acid plant and 90,000 tons of high titanium slag; Titanhai Technology has a production capacity of 80,000 tons of rutile titanium dioxide, 40,000 tons of catalyst/anatase titanium dioxide and 100,000 tons of titanium concentrate.
Recently after the slag field has been rectified, titanium dioxide enterprises in the park have begun to resume production. As an important industrial agglomeration of titanium ore and titanium dioxide in China, the change of production capacity in Panzhihua area has great influence on the industry. In 2016, China Central Television's "Economic half-hour" column exposed the environmental pollution problems of enterprises in Panzhihua city, and subsequently the city suspended production of 36 enterprises. After investigation, in terms of water pollution, it is mainly caused by the leakage of some mineral processing enterprises. Among them, there are 16 enterprises in vanadium and titanium high-tech zone. Although this incident is not the high-tech zone of titanium dioxide enterprises, but titanium dioxide enterprises in accordance with the superior deployment, to carry out production, inspection, rectification, re-repair, the development of clean production and sewage, stacking and other measures.
On December 20, 2016, Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, organized a symposium on the production and operation of titanium dioxide enterprises and environmental protection. At the meeting, six Panzhihua titanium dioxide production enterprises, such as Xingzhong Titanium Industry Co., LTD., Great Interworking Titanium Industry Co., LTD., Hengtong Titanium Industry Co., LTD., Haifeng Xin Chemical Co., LTD., Titanium Sea Technology Co., LTD., Titanium City Chemical Co., Ltd. jointly issued a joint commitment to environmental protection, and took the initiative to make solemn commitments to environmental protection departments at all levels and the masses of the people. Will firmly establish environmental awareness, strictly abide by environmental laws and regulations, effectively strengthen pollution prevention and control, consciously accept social supervision, further strengthen self-discipline, regard environmental protection as the life of the enterprise, do honest and law-abiding enterprises.
Although some titanium white enterprises in Panzhihua area have resumed production again, the environmental protection inspection launched in Sichuan Province in July has led to the closure of some titanium mineral resources in Panzhihua area. The central environmental supervision inspection team organized a team of more than 3,000 law enforcement officers on August 2 to investigate the environmental protection of enterprises in various districts of Chengdu. It is reported that the central environmental supervision and inspection team will enter Panzhihua in mid-August, and the local environmental protection bureau of Panzhihua has first tested titanium dioxide enterprises in the park, titanium dioxide enterprises are under great environmental pressure.
In addition, the price of graphite electrode used in the production of titanium slag on the market has climbed to more than 45,000 yuan/ton, compared with April, increased by about 3 times; Compared with July, the price has also nearly doubled, so the production cost of titanium slag in August has increased by nearly 1000 yuan/ton.
