High molecular weight high density polyethylene is a polyethylene polymer polymerized by slurry method or gas phase method under low pressure (0.48~3.1MPa) and low temperature (80~110¡æ) in the presence of Ziegler type or Phillips type high efficiency catalyst. High molecular weight high density polyethylene is one of the new varieties of polyethylene, with an average molecular weight of 200,000~500,000, and can be divided into homopolymer and copolymer. HMWHDPE is the abbreviation code for high molecular weight high density polyethylene.
The density of high molecular weight high density polyethylene is 0.944~0.954g/cm3, and the melt flow rate under high load is 1.0~15g/10min; the stress cracking resistance, impact strength, tensile strength, rigidity, wear resistance and chemical stability of high molecular weight high density polyethylene are better than those of high density polyethylene, and its products can be used in harsh environments for a long time.
