Compared with ordinary injection molding machines, the injection molding machine for high-pressure structural foaming injection molding has an additional secondary clamping and pressure-maintaining device. When the melt is injected into the mold cavity for a period of time, the movable mold plate of the clamping mechanism should be slightly moved back to allow a small separation between the movable and fixed molds of the mold, so that the mold cavity is expanded, which is conducive to the foaming and expansion of the plastic melt in the mold.
The disadvantages of high-pressure structural foaming injection molding are high mold costs and the requirement for secondary clamping and pressure-maintaining for the injection molding machine, which ordinary injection molding machines cannot apply. At the same time, when the mold is moved for the second time, the product is prone to leave stripes, creases, etc., so the mold manufacturing precision requires higher.
