PP strapping tape, scientific name polypropylene, is one of the lighter common plastics. It means polypropylene. There are many grades of polypropylene. The raw material of polypropylene with grade T30S is used in the production of strapping tape (with the best effect). Appearance of PP strapping tape: translucent to opaque, transparent film. Combustibility: flammable in flame. Slowly extinguish or continue to burn after leaving the flame. When burning, the upper end of the flame is yellow and the lower end is blue; there is melting and dripping. The smell of paraffin can be smelled.

First, the extruder temperature is generally controlled at 250¡æ¡«280¡æ. Next is cooling. The temperature of the material is very high after it leaves the die head. It must be immediately cooled in water, because isotactic polypropylene is easy to generate a brewing crystal structure under rapid cooling, and the brewing crystal molecular structure is relatively loose. It is easy to stretch and orient to obtain high-quality products. Then there is stretching. The purpose of stretching is to increase the longitudinal strength of the strapping tape and reduce the elongation. Stretching must be carried out in boiling water, and one-time stretching is generally used. Finally, embossing. The stretched strapping tape passes through two patterned rollers and is embossed with patterns. Its function is to increase friction during use, prevent slipping, and look beautiful and generous from the outside.

The following standards are used to judge the quality of PP strapping tape:
1. The strapping tape should have good toughness. Fold the PP strapping tape repeatedly. The poor toughness will break easily. Pattern problem, the pattern must be beautiful, and there should be no pressure deviation.
2. The PP strapping tape is generally white (other colors should be bright) and of good quality, because it is not easy to mix old materials.
3. The strapping tape should have glossiness. Such strapping tape is generally produced with full materials. The tensile force is stable. If the strapping tape is mixed with powder, the glossiness will be greatly reduced.
4. The width of the strapping tape, the width error is generally plus or minus 0.3mm. Such strapping tapes are uniform in the production of materials, and the quality will be relatively uniform, and there will be no situation of good and bad.
5. Some strapping tapes are made of brand new materials on the outside, with fillers in the middle (extremely poor). As long as you cut it open and look at the cross section, you can see that the black heart inside is of poor quality.
As for the color of the strapping tape, it is difficult to say for different grades of strapping tape. Transparent strapping tape is the best strapping tape at present. The quality of the strapping tape depends entirely on the purity of polypropylene. The higher the purity of polypropylene, the better the tension of the strapping tape.
Paper industry strapping tape: clean, tidy but easy to wrinkle; good corrosion resistance and no rust, high-quality elasticity, easy to operate.
Strapping tape used for canned packaging: cannot withstand strong impact, extrusion, fall, etc.; ductility is better than steel tape, with appropriate elasticity, and maintains good tear strength.
Strapping tape for aluminum ingot industry: easy to react chemically with strong acid, alkali and water; waterproof and corrosion-resistant, the tension retention is better than steel tape.
Strapping tape for building materials industry: rigid and heavy; good ductility, not easy to crack, density is 1/6 of steel tape, and more economical than steel tape.
Strapping tape for the ceramic industry: brittle, cannot withstand strong impact, extrusion, fall, etc.; good taut retention performance, small degree of relaxation, good impact resistance, suitable for long-distance and long-term transportation.
Strapping tape for the wood industry: edges are easily scratched; corrosion-resistant and waterproof, smooth surface, conducive to edge protection, density: 1/6 of steel tape.
Strapping tape for the fiber fiber industry: soft, loose and easy to deform; good tensile strength, not easy to break, moderate elastic strength, not easy to relax.
Strapping tape for the steel pipe industry: easy to roll, and can react chemically with strong acids and alkalis; waterproof and corrosion-resistant, compared with steel tape, it is elastic but not easy to overextend.
