Polyvinyl chloride foam is made of polyvinyl chloride resin as the main body, with foaming agent and other additives added. It is an earlier used foam plastic. It is divided into two categories: hard and soft, with soft being the majority.
It has good mechanical properties and impact absorption; it is a closed-cell soft foam; its density is between 0.05 and 0.1g/cm3; it has stable chemical properties and strong corrosion resistance; it does not absorb water, is not easy to burn, and is cheap. However, it has poor weather resistance and is toxic to a certain extent.
Polyvinyl chloride foam is a common cushioning material that can be made into packaging containers such as boxes and cases, and can also be made into pads, lining boards, etc. for packaging general items.
