Very low density polyethylene is copolymerized with ethylene and a-olefins, such as 1-butene and 1-octene, and is mostly produced by gas phase or liquid phase methods. VLDPE is the abbreviation of very low density polyethylene. Its low temperature resistance, stress cracking resistance, flexural resistance and tensile strength are all better than low density polyethylene.
The density of very low density polyethylene is 0.880~0.910g/cm3, with low crystallinity and good flexibility; it has excellent mechanical properties, good impact resistance, filling, optical properties, penetration resistance and tear resistance; it is non-toxic and has very low water absorption; it has a high heat deformation temperature, good thermal stability and low temperature resistance; it has excellent environmental stress cracking resistance, excellent flex cracking resistance and cold shock resistance; the product has good light transmittance. Its low temperature resistance, stress cracking resistance, flexural resistance and tensile strength are all better than low density polyethylene.
