Founded in 1999, China Plastic Expo is held in Yuyao, which is known as the "Plastic Kingdom". It is the earliest large-scale plastic industry exhibition in China, and has won the Golden Finger Award for China's Industry Brand Exhibition. It is one of the most well-known and influential brand exhibitions in China's plastic industry and is known as the "No. 1 Exhibition in China's Plastic Industry". Since its inception, China Plastic Expo has been committed to providing a market-oriented, direct trading integrated platform for the upstream, midstream and downstream of the plastic industry. China Plastic Expo is hosted by China Petrochemical Industry Association, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Chemical Corporation, China Light Industry Federation, and Yuyao Municipal People's Government of Zhejiang Province; in addition to being hosted by China Plastic City Management Committee, this year, the international professional exhibition service provider Hong Kong "Xuntong Exhibition Company (listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange)" and Taiwan "Zhan Zhao International Enterprise Co., Ltd." partners jointly hosted.
Yuyao is located in the hinterland of Ningbo, an important economic town in the Yangtze River Delta. In 2008, Ningbo's GDP reached 396.41 billion yuan, an increase of 10.1%; the total industrial output value jumped to the trillion level, reaching 1093.71 billion yuan, an increase of 13.9% over the previous year. Among them, the total output value of industries above designated size reached 889.18 billion yuan, an increase of 12.7%.

The 16th China Plastic Expo will be held in Yuyao City from November 6 to 9 this year. This Plastic Expo is co-sponsored by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Chemical Corporation, China Light Industry Federation and Yuyao Municipal People's Government, and supported by China General Chamber of Commerce and China Plastic Processing Industry Association.
This Plastic Expo is themed "Innovation-led, Transformation and Development", with an exhibition area of 42,000 square meters and 2,000 booths. There are four exhibition areas: plastic raw materials exhibition area, plastic machine tool and mold exhibition area, plastic machinery exhibition area, and semi-finished plastic molded products exhibition area. The 2,000 booths of this session have been fully recruited, with a total of 436 companies participating in the exhibition. Among them, there are 1,032 booths open to the public, with a total of 316 participating companies, 73 overseas companies, accounting for 23.1% of the number of publicly recruited companies, and 95 special-decorated companies, with special-decorated booths accounting for 70.3% of the number of publicly recruited booths. The China Plastic City Theme Pavilion on the first floor of Hall 1 has 67 exhibitors of modified plastic in the Plastic City, 15 more than last year; the newly set up Innovation Technology Exhibition Area in Hall 2 this year intensively displays raw materials, molds, products, etc. related to "automobile lightweighting", and the displayed products involve 42 enterprises, with an exhibition area of about 750 square meters. In addition, the "Semi-finished Products Exhibition Area of Plastic Molding Products" on the second floor of Hall 1 implements a centralized cabinet-type exhibition of plastic molding products from multiple enterprises, displaying more than 30,000 products, involving 403 enterprises.
Two main activities: one is the opening ceremony held at the Convention and Exhibition Center on the morning of November 6; the other is economic, trade and scientific and technological activities (including forums), mainly including product exhibitions, investment promotion and economic and trade negotiations and scientific and technological exchange activities, and the 2014 10th China Plastic Industry Development International Forum will be held on November 5.
Two supporting activities: one is to organize and carry out various "meetings within meetings". Including special purchase matchmaking meetings, ordering meetings for member companies of large participating enterprises and special lectures; at the same time, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will hold a talent recruitment meeting. Second, there will be promotion and matchmaking activities for plastic-related projects, project signing ceremonies, etc.
The exhibition hall setting further highlights the market demand orientation. On the one hand, the exhibition area of molds and machine tool companies will be increased, and high-end mold companies will be introduced to participate in the exhibition; on the other hand, an innovative technology zone will be set up (the "Plastic Industry Innovation Technology Zone-Automobile Lightweight" exhibition area will be set up in conjunction with the theme of the international forum) to highlight the theme of the exhibition and lead the development of the industry. It will also launch a nearly 4,000 square meter plastic molded product semi-finished product exhibition area to concentrate more than 400 plastic molded product innovative products for display and docking. In conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of China Plastic City this year, the "'Twenty Years of Wind and Rain, Transformation and Restart' China Plastic City 20 Years Photo Exhibition" will be set up.

The two supporting activities are: one is to organize various "meetings within meetings", including six high-end exchange activities for the development of the industry, such as special procurement matchmaking meetings, exhibitors' ordering meetings and special technical lectures, and hold special talent recruitment meetings; the other is to hold Yuyao's plastic-related industry-related project promotion and matchmaking activities in conjunction with the high-end series of meetings during the Plastic Expo.
The 12th China Plastic Industry Development International Forum held on November 5 includes a main forum and 5 sub-forums, including the Sino-Iranian Petrochemical Industry Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair.
On November 7, the Materials Branch of the 9th Ningbo Academic Conference of the China Materials Research Society and the China Ordnance Society will also be held in Yuyao under the name of "The 18th China Plastic Expo Materials Summit and the New Materials Branch of the 9th Ningbo Academic Conference".
In addition, during the Plastic Expo, with the help of the Plastic Expo's international high-end series of plastic industry conferences, especially the Sino-Iranian Petrochemical Industry Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair, relevant plastic industry project promotion and docking activities such as the "Sino-Italian Ningbo Ecological Park" and "Industrial Park" will be held to promote investment attraction.
On October 14 this year, the Executive Committee of the UFI (Union of International Fairs) Global Exhibition Industry Association officially sent a letter approving Yuyao China Plastic City Exhibition Co., Ltd. as an "exhibition organizer" to become a formal member of UFI. UFI is the only international organization in the world expo and exhibition industry, known as the "WTO of the world exhibition industry". China "Yuyao" International Plastic Expo and China Plastic Expo are UFI-recognized exhibitions, and are currently one of the only three exhibitions in Ningbo that have obtained UFI membership.

This Plastic Expo implements the linkage of exhibitions and themes, with the theme of "New Momentum for Plastic Development-Innovation and Change", with an exhibition area of 42,000 square meters and 2,000 booths. It has three exhibition areas: plastic raw materials, plastic machine tool molds, and plastic machinery. On the basis of focusing on the display of new plastic materials, fine molds and plastic machinery, it will further highlight the display of intelligent plastic machines and set up a "High-end Intelligent Plastic Machinery Theme Pavilion". The exhibition area is about 70,000 square meters, with 3,400 booths. There are five exhibition areas including plastic raw materials, plastic machinery, mold machine tools, plastic finished products (small appliances), and intelligent robots.
