Liquid plastic, main ingredients: 15% polyvinyl chloride resin, 83% plasticizer dibutyl phthalate, 2% stabilizer calcium stearate, and appropriate amount of diluent vacuum oil.
First, mix dibutyl phthalate and vacuum oil and stir evenly, then mix polyvinyl chloride resin and calcium stearate and stir evenly. Finally, mix the above two mixtures evenly and leave them for 1 day to allow the polyvinyl chloride resin to fully expand and diffuse in the plasticizer.
(1) Pouring method: pour the liquid plastic into the fixture by its own weight.
(2) Put the prepared mixture into the heating furnace, heat it slowly with an electric furnace, and stir it continuously. At the beginning, the plastic is a white liquid, which becomes a paste during the gradual heating process, and finally a transparent semi-liquid. It can be drawn into a long filament. At this time, keep warm for 10-30 minutes, let the bubbles float up, and then press and inject.
(3) Preheat the fixture to 150¡æ¡«160¡æ (preferably with an electric furnace). The purpose of preheating is to prevent the plastic from losing fluidity. Remove the pressure screw plunger and vent screw during preheating.
(4) Prepare the pouring tools: mainly the funnel and pipe, clean them and preheat them at the same time.
(5) Pouring: Remove the scum on the surface of the prepared plastic and pour it immediately from the pressure plunger hole (use a funnel and fixture to stand upright). When the plastic overflows the vent hole, tighten the vent screw until the plastic fills the entire fixture cavity and overflows from the pouring port. Stop pouring and keep the remaining plastic for shrinkage compensation.
(6) Shrinkage compensation: Liquid plastic shrinks by about 10% during cooling, so it must be compensated while cooling until it can no longer be compensated. If it is found that the expansion is insufficient, some of the above-mentioned remaining plastic cut into small pieces can be added from the pressure plunger hole.
When the plastic melts. It will decompose harmful gases, so the room must be well ventilated, or it should be done in a special fume hood. Use an iron rod when stirring, stir slowly and evenly, otherwise bubbles will be generated.
