Metal insert injection molding is a method of insert modeling in which the metal insert is pre-fixed in the appropriate position in the mold, and then injected into the plastic to form the mold. After the mold is opened, the insert is tightly wrapped by the cooled and solidified plastic and buried in the product to obtain a product with inserts such as threaded rings and electrodes.
The part of the product that embeds the metal insert must have an appropriate structure and thickness, and the part of the mold that fixes the insert can be quickly and reliably positioned to prevent plastic from flowing into the fixed hole. The insert also needs to be specially designed, such as knurling or grooving, twisting, etc. in the embedded part to ensure its reliability in fixing inside the plastic.
