The PE-RT production line uses a high-performance single-screw extruder. Its barrier screw and slotted barrel ensure homogeneous melt and stable extrusion volume. The mold used in the production line is a spiral die tailored to the characteristics of PE-RT materials, which effectively avoids melt rupture during extrusion and ensures the high finish of the PE-RT pipe surface. The disc-type sizing sleeve has the smallest friction with the pipe surface, which prevents the pipe from sticking to the sizing sleeve.
PERT pipes
1. Basic concepts
PE-RT pipe heat-resistant polyethylene pipe is the abbreviation of Polyethylene of raised temperature resistance pipe. It is a non-cross-linked polyethylene pipe that can be used for hot water. Some people also highlight its non-cross-linked characteristics and call it "high-temperature resistant non-cross-linked polyethylene pipe." It is a medium-density polyethylene produced by special molecular design and synthesis process. It uses the method of copolymerization of ethylene and octene to obtain a unique molecular structure by controlling the number and distribution of side chains to improve the heat resistance of PE pipes. The maximum heat resistance temperature is 60бу. Due to the presence of short octene branches, the macromolecules of PE cannot be crystallized in a lamellar crystal, but run through several crystals, forming a connection between crystals. It retains the good flexibility, high thermal conductivity and inertness of PE pipes, and makes them more pressure-resistant. This modification method is similar to the common PPR pipes on the market. PE-RT pipes can be used for all levels of hot water pipes specified in ISO10508!
2. Characteristics of PERT pipes
1. Lightweight, easy to transport, install and construct.
2. It has good flexibility, making it convenient and economical to lay. The produced pipes can reduce the use of pipe fittings and construction costs by coiling and bending during construction.
3. When the pipe is bent, the stress in the bent part can be relaxed quickly, and there will be no "rebound" phenomenon, which is convenient for construction operation.
4. The friction loss in the pipe is small, and the fluid conveying capacity of this pipe is 30% greater than that of the metal pipe with the same diameter.
5. The brittle fracture temperature is low. The pipe has excellent low temperature resistance, so it can also be constructed under low temperatures in winter, and the pipe does not need to be preheated when bending.
6. Good chemical corrosion resistance, no rust, and long service life.
7. Good environmental adaptability.
8. Under the conditions of working temperature of 70 degrees Celsius and pressure of 0.4MPa, it can be safely used for more than 50 years.
9. No toxic additives are added to the pipe during the production process. The inner wall is smooth, does not scale, does not breed bacteria, and can be safely used in drinking water transportation and other fields.
10. The impact resistance is 5 times that of PVC-U pipes.
11. Good heat and pressure resistance.
12. Can be hot-melt connected and mechanically connected, reliable and leak-free. PE-X can only be mechanically connected.

The PE-RT production line uses a high-performance single screw extruder. Its optimized barrier screw and slotted barrel ensure homogeneous melt and stable extrusion volume. The high-torque gearbox equipped with the extruder can fully meet the high back pressure ratio when producing PE-RT. The mold used in the production line is a spiral die head tailored to the characteristics of PE-RT materials. Through the improvement of the die head, the situation of melt rupture during extrusion is effectively avoided, ensuring the high finish of the PE-RT pipe surface. The disc-type sizing sleeve is used because it has the smallest friction with the pipe surface to avoid adhesion between the pipe and the sizing sleeve.
In addition to the extrusion components, perfectly matched downstream equipment is also very important to ensure high-speed extrusion of high-quality PE-RT pipes.
The total cooling length of the production line is 23 meters, including a vacuum sizing box and three cooling water tanks. The purpose of the cooling length configuration is to meet the cooling required when producing 20x2.0mm pipes at a line speed of 20/min, while also taking into account the additional cooling required for coils.
