Mixed plastic extruder is a general term for a type of single screw extruder with excellent mixing effect. It is characterized by the use of various special screw structures to improve the mixing and plasticizing effect of plastics in the extruder.
The main types of mixed screws are:
(1) Pin type screw. It is a pin with a diameter of 3-8 mm set on the screw groove of the screw metering section. The center line of the pin is perpendicular to the center line of the screw. The distance between the pins is generally 4-6 mm. There is one row or multiple rows. The arrangement direction can be opposite to the direction of the thread line, or it can be arranged irregularly;
(2) Barrier type screw. It is a barrier section that can act as a barrier in the screw, such as a non-threaded cylindrical, annular, grooved, etc. barrier section;
(3) Separation type screw. It is also called a double-thread screw. Its characteristic is that an auxiliary thread is added in the main screw groove of the screw. The outer diameter and pitch of the two threads are different from each other. Corresponding to the improvement of the screw structure is the reform of the structure of the extruder barrel, for example, a porous circular plate or pin is set in the middle of the barrel cavity to force the plastic flow to be strongly disturbed, re-distributed and spliced, thereby achieving the purpose of improving the mixing effect.
