Preface

With the development of the construction industry, the high, large and light engineering structures have put forward high standards for waterproof materials, such as long service life, convenient maintenance and reliable waterproof effect, thus promoting the development of waterproof materials in the world. Countries around the world have tested and developed a large number of new waterproof materials. Polymer materials have also quickly eliminated the old generation of waterproof materials such as asphalt felt due to their elasticity or elastoplasticity, long service life, good technical performance, simple construction, light weight and low pollution.

The current situation of long-term reliance on asphalt-based materials in the field of building roofs is gradually being replaced by energy-saving and environmentally friendly single-layer roofing materials. Single-layer roofing is the development trend of building waterproofing that saves energy and protects the environment. Therefore, the roofing industry in various countries in the world attaches great importance to single-layer roofing waterproofing, and continuously develops new materials to promote the development of single-layer roofing waterproofing, making it a leading product in the roofing market.

China established the Single-layer Roofing Technology Professional Committee of the China Building Waterproofing Materials Industry Association in August 2007 to promote the development of single-layer roofing technology in China. Shanghai Zanke Anti-seepage Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. adheres to the path of independent innovation for single-layer roof waterproofing technology. It has started the research and development of single-layer roof technology in 2004. After four years, it has successfully developed a series of "multi-layer fiber-reinforced PVC waterproofing membranes" with technical parameters higher than foreign advanced standards, contributing to the development of China's single-layer roofing technology.

1. Raw materials

This study is based on the standards of foreign advanced single-layer roof waterproofing systems. Single-layer roof waterproofing has higher performance requirements for products, such as tensile strength, elongation at break, tear force, etc., and application performance such as: thermal aging dimensional change rate, adhesion under shear state, etc. The comparison of some properties of ordinary PVC membranes and multi-layer fiber-reinforced PVC membranes is shown in Table 1.
