PVC air duct

As the weather gets cooler, the main function of industrial ventilation is ventilation, and ventilation cannot avoid the use of air ducts. PVC air ducts are one of the common air ducts.

Product Introduction

English full name: Polyvinylchlorid

Main ingredients: polyvinyl chloride

Manufacturing process:

Add auxiliary ingredients to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility, etc. The top layer of the surface film of PVC air duct is paint, the main component in the middle is polyvinyl chloride, and the bottom layer is back-coated adhesive.

It is a synthetic material that is deeply loved, popular and widely used in the world today. Its global usage ranks second among various synthetic materials.

The air duct is a pipeline system used for air transportation and distribution. The air duct is made by applying sealant (such as neutral glass glue) to the gaps such as the bite seam, rivet seam, and the four corners of the flange. The surface dust and oil should be removed before applying the sealant. According to the cross-sectional shape, air ducts can be divided into PVC air ducts, PP air ducts, galvanized air ducts and other types.

Precautions for installing PVC air ducts:

(1) The plate welding shall not have defects such as browning and cracking. The weld should be full and the welding rods should be arranged neatly.

(2) The four corners of the rectangular air duct can be connected by angling or welding. When angling is used, the longitudinal weld should be greater than 80mm from the angling.

(3) The connection between the PVC air duct and the flange should be welded, and the flange end face should be perpendicular to the axis of the air duct. At the connection between the air duct with a diameter or side length greater than 500mm and the flange, triangular support reinforcement plates should be evenly installed, and the spacing between the reinforcement plates shall not exceed 450mm.

(4) For air ducts with a side length greater than or equal to 630mm welded, a side length greater than or equal to 800mm angled, or a pipe section length greater than 1200mm, a reinforcement frame or reinforcement ribs should be welded, and the specifications of the reinforcement frame should be the same as the flange.

(5) The two end faces of the PVC air duct should be parallel and without obvious distortion; the surface should be flat, with no more than 5mm convexity and concavity; the arc of the angled corner should be uniform.
