POM board (polyoxymethylene board): commonly known as steel plate. It is made of POM plastic particles extruded through an extruder at high temperature, and extruded through the corresponding die mouth to obtain plates of different thicknesses. It is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with high melting point and high crystallinity. Due to the good properties of POM board, it is very suitable for machining on automatic lathes, especially for manufacturing precision parts.

Product description:
POM board is a copolymer polymer with no side chain, high density and high crystallinity, with excellent comprehensive properties.
POM board is a hard and dense material with a smooth and shiny surface, black or white, and can be used for a long time in the temperature range of -40- 106буC. Its wear resistance and self-lubricating properties are also superior to most engineering plastics, and it has good oil resistance and peroxide resistance. It is not resistant to acid, strong alkali and moonlight ultraviolet radiation.
POM is a crystalline plastic with a distinct melting point. Once the melting point is reached, the viscosity of the melt drops rapidly. When the temperature exceeds a certain limit or the melt is heated for too long, it will cause decomposition.
POM has good comprehensive properties. It is the hardest among thermoplastics and one of the varieties of plastic materials with mechanical properties closest to metals. Its tensile strength, bending strength, fatigue strength, wear resistance and electrical properties are very good. It can be used for a long time between -40 degrees and 100 degrees.
POM-C/H (black, white): respectively represent POM copolymers and POM homopolymers. POM copolymers have low melting points, thermal stability, chemical corrosion resistance, flow characteristics, hydrolysis resistance, resistance to strong alkali and thermal oxidation degradation, and better processability than homopolymers. POM homopolymers have high crystallinity, creep resistance, lower thermal expansion rate, wear resistance, mechanical strength, rigidity, heat deformation temperature, etc. than copolymers. (POM-C copolymer is commonly used in POM semi-finished products on the market)
POM-H+PTFE (dark brown): POM-H+TF is extruded from DuPont POM (DELRIN) raw material plus PTFE (Teflon) fiber. It retains most of the inherent strength of POM-H. Some performance changes are caused by the addition of PTFE (Teflon) fiber, which is slightly softer, less rigid, and more slippery than pure polyoxymethylene resin. Compared with pure POM board, this material has better lubricity. Bearings made of POM-H+PTFE have low friction coefficient, wear resistance, and basically no creep phenomenon.
High mechanical strength, high rigidity, high hardness, excellent elasticity, sliding and wear resistance, good creep resistance, high impact strength even at low temperature, very good dimensional stability, excellent mechanical properties, physiological inertness, suitable for contact with food.
Ordinary epoxy resin AB glue cannot be used for bonding.
Application fields of POM board:
POM is widely used in manufacturing various sliding and rotating machinery, precision parts, gears, bearings, etc. The application industries are spread across the fields of automobiles, electronics, clothing, medical treatment, machinery, sports equipment, etc.
Specifications and dimensions of POM board: 0.5mm-100mm
