All possible fillers, from quartz powder to secondary raw materials such as waste glass or rubber particles, can be processed with various barriers (such as epoxy resins, non-plastic resins or PMMA resins), reinforcing materials and dyes to form very different final products. The ratio and uniform mixing between the various components are crucial to the quality of the final product.
Resin concrete is not a substitute for cement concrete, but can be used as a more technical and economical method in certain occasions. The special properties and strength of resin concrete are much better than cement concrete in terms of strength, surface condition, frost resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and economy. The barrier in resin concrete is a combination of active resin and hardener and catalyst, not cement used in cement concrete. The mixture of resin and filler is hardened and inseparable by hardener and catalyst, even at normal room temperature. The final mixture is filled into the mold and tightened by vibration. A production time of several minutes can be achieved in the above process. In most cases, various molds can be used for resin concrete. In addition to pipe production, prefabricated mixtures are placed in these molds and kept until the end of hardening, and then removed from the mold. The molding time is about 6 to 90 minutes. It varies according to the type of molded parts and the production process. When manufacturing resin concrete products, due to the higher strength advantage compared with cement concrete, the product wall thickness of this material can be reduced to half or even one-third. Because of the high inherent strength of resin concrete, reinforcement is not required in many cases.
